After graduating from the National University of Ireland, obtaining her Diploma in Legal Studies in Dublin and being awarded prizes in the Law Society of Ireland examinations, Rosemary trained and qualified as a solicitor with a large commercial practice in 1992. She was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1994. She has specialised as a family law solicitor for ten years, having experience of a broad range of privately-funded and legally-aided cases in private and public law. More recently she specialised as a solicitor in education law for two years and served for eight years part-time as a volunteer tribunal advocate for the charity IPSEA, representing parents at the Special Educational needs and Disability Tribunal.
Rosemary subscribes to the Code of Practice of Resolution, the professional body for family lawyers. She has broad experience in the field of family law, including negotiating distribution of financial assets, helping separated parents resume or improve the terms of contact with their child, protecting the property interests of cohabitees, preparing to negotiate or advocate, advising on international aspects, while mindful of the need to preserve a client’s long-term relationships.
